rings in Kilifi, Kenya

Deborah Mulobi comes from Kenya, currently working and residing on the Kenyan coast. She says “By the grace of God I happen to be a ringer at Ack St Thomas memorial church in Kilifi”. This is the most isolated tower in the world and she is glad to be one of the ringers there. Deborah started ringing in 2013 when a group of UK ringers visited Kilifi. Her boyfriend was a ringer and he had invited her to come to see what they do at the church. She adds “Little did I know I was going to be part of this fulfilling activity”. She was welcomed by one of the guests to try out ringing and found everything so interesting. Since then she has never looked back. Deborah’s ringing highlight was back in 2015 and 2017 when she visited the UK and got to ring in many towers in the UK as well as ringing at Canterbury.
