Neil, who is currently the Chairman of the KCACR, learnt to handle a bell in Kent but learnt to ring whilst in Norwich whilst supposedly studying for a degree. On returning to Kent, he continued to progress and became more involved in ringing at a District level. He also began to ring at Rochester Cathedral, now his home tower. Neil has always been passionate about teaching ringers and a chance phone call in 2016 saw Neil and his eldest daughter travel to London for her to participate with the Kent team in that year's RWNYC. Since then, Neil has been very supportive of the Kent Young Ringers, helping at their meetings and coaching and training the next generation of ringers.
