Learnt to ring in Liverpool but has been based in London for the last 40 plus years ringing at churches in the City and Greater London. Now retired after working as a finance professional in the public sector which included HMRC and the Treasury before his final years as a Finance Director at the House of Commons. Previously served on the CCCBR Biographies and Library Committees, but since 2020 has been Lead for the Historical and Archive Working Group (H&AWG). Areas of particular interest are historical newspaper extracts, society badge and membership certificate catalogues, and historic ringing prints. Chris is also a former Librarian for the ASCY. The H&AWG has recently revamped its history website and initiated a number of new projects including the peal board database led by Richard Andrew.
